Thinking About My Office A Lot Lately
It's no secret I love three places when it comes to home furnishings. 1.) Restoration Hardware 2.) ABC Carpet and Home and 3.) Jayson Home and Garden. Sadly these places have a $500 entry fee when you walk in the door. Just kidding, but you get the point.....
I have fallen in love with this table, which is meant for dining. It rolls. It's huge. It's pretty. I can craft away and have tons of space to spare. I think I need this table. Plus it looks really great with the floor lamp, which is also from Restoration Hardware. And the office supplies. Not to mention the chest. Did I mention the incredible chest? Oh yea, and the desk that you bolt to a wall... OK. I am drooling so much my typing is turning a little nutty.
I have been thinking about my office and what I need to make it "mine". Make it more functional. This is a start, I believe. A beautiful, very expensive start.

Tell me about your work space, craft room, or nook. I am seeking out ideas on how to marry the function with design in an awkward shaped room.

Hey Lana, where is that floor lamp from? It's amazing, OMG!!
Restoration Hardware. I think it starts at like $1,500. Let's learn to make it! :)
I'm going to be settling into a new place here shortly and honestly, it's going to be a monumental task. Fun, but monumental! I want it to be perfect. My main problem with the place is an awkward lack of storage space. I'm going to have to get creative in order to get the place more functional!
Love that desk--a lot! But bolting it to a wall seems a bit limiting knowing how much I like to shift and change things around. I'm always dreaming up new ways to organize/decorate my home studio, but never bother to take the time and do it! Lame, right? My latest change was with this super cheap Ikea desk--it's a great huge, flat surface, but alas no drawers or shelves underneath. http://mewpaperarts.com/new/2009/10/my-creative-space-part-1/
