Thursday, April 22, 2010 Is there such a thing as a foxcoon?
Joey and our friend Duane spotted a strange furry creature in our front yard one night. It was fast. It scared them. It startled them. As they explained their new furry friend to me, the only descriptive word I could get out of them was, "it was like a fox and a racoon mated." Then about a week passed and in the backyard I see this rather large strange animal. It was just chilling in the sun then it ran under our deck. It was frightening to say the least. It did have a tail like a fox, but was large and shaped like a beaver. Want to help us figure out what new pet we have lurking in our new-found-land?
It looks like a mix of all three, at least what I watched crawl freakishly close to our home. Now the fox part I can't say I noticed. You know of any animal that looks like these guys? I wonder what new creatures we will find now that cement isn't swallowing every inch of our existence!

it's most likely a groundhog with a shaggy tail. if you don't trap it, it will ruin your entire yard.
