This weekend was one of those weekends where we had a bunch of projects kinda started and we wanted to blow through as much as we could. We painted the final coat on the chair we are refurbishing and upholstery has begun. I somewhat had a heart attack when I cut into the 1890 German fabric I got to use on this chair - but all looks good - so far! We also headed off to one of the many True Values in Westchester county and introduced ourselves to John of Foley's True Value in Larchmont. We were so so so excited to find stuff we had been unable to get our hands on all Summer long! We may able to actually keep our yard alive in this heat due to the sprinkler options they had, which was sold out everyplace else. I was also pleased to find he split the store into "girls" and "boys". Hardware on one side, decor and cleaning on the other. The selection was overwhelming, but we survived. We also got our hands on a mini propane tank - you wouldnt believe how difficult it was to find! It was Christmas of '09 when I got Joey a mini MP3-grill, and we were never able to use it - until this weekend. We also stocked up on spray paint, some handy True Value aprons, and secret items for upcoming projects. Did you do any fun projects this weekend? We would love to hear all about it!
Lets get legal: We were one of the 10 bloggers True Value has chosen to work on The Blog Squad , and we are way excited to take on the challenge of showing you exciting DIY projects. They have compensated us for our time and writing, and provided materials for the projects we have worked on. However, our opinions are entirely our own and we have not been paid to publish positive comments. Did we mention we are excited to show you our DIY Blog Squad Projects?
