We All Need a Good Drill - Giveaway!

Hello! Happy Friday Lovlies! Today is a very exciting day! Stack Exchange is hosting their final giveaway of the week and this time there are two winners! And it's a good one! We got a drill, a corded Ryobi with the intent it would be more powerful because it was plugged in. Boy did we learn our lesson right quick. A quality cordless drill is super necessary if you are a DIYer. Trust.

Sometimes the cord doesn't work in situations like when you are on a ladder or live in an old house like us when the code didn't require as many outlets as "modern" homes now do. It's a safety hazard people. I 'am not dissing the corded drill, I mean it never runs out of power and that's kinda awesome. We just feel you need both. It's done us well.

Today we have a pretty sweet "wish list" tool we don't actually own yet. After much debate and research we have decided we need not only a corded screwdriver, a cordless screwdriver, but also we need an impact driver. Here is why. Torque. You know, that thing car salesmen push when trying to get you into that sporty car instead of the sedan. Yep, to us torque is magic, it's umph. It's a secret power. Secret power is awesome when you have power tools.

Plus I think it's cute because it's smaller and less clumsy looking than a screwdriver. Don't mind me. It's 4:22am. You would start to think power tools were looking cute too at this hour!

PS! I am wildly excited to head home tomorrow and see Joey and Porkchop and Rocket! I am also excited to sleep in my bed and be in our home! Welcome to day #3 of our amazing week of giveaways aponsored by Stack Exchange's DIY and Home Impovement Board! It's a great place to ask and give answers (or snoop at other people's Q&A's, like we do!). Today is a fun one. Another product you don't know you need, until you own it. Remember a bit ago Joey turned a $40 piece of reclaimed wood into our entryway table?

To be honest it was a gross-o piece of wood we weren't sure what to do with until we discovered the power of the sander. Follow me young grasshopper and learn...

I hope you know I was kidding about the grasshopper thing :).  As you can see Joey turned the gross wood into a gem with some elbow grease and a little wax. We LOVE Milwakee and Makita brands when it comes to tools as you may have noticed. Nothing against the other guys, just seems to last a long time and tends to have quality accessories.

So what's in it for you? A new sander of course! Welcome the one we would have gotten if it had been available when we were in need.
