We All Need a Good Drill - Giveaway!

***This giveaway is now closed!***

Hello! Happy Friday Lovlies! Today is a very exciting day! Stack Exchange is hosting their final giveaway of the week and this time there are two winners! And it's a good one! We got a drill, a corded Ryobi with the intent it would be more powerful because it was plugged in. Boy did we learn our lesson right quick. A quality cordless drill is super necessary if you are a DIYer. Trust.

Sometimes the cord doesn't work in situations like when you are on a ladder or live in an old house like us when the code didn't require as many outlets as "modern" homes now do. It's a safety hazard people. I 'am not dissing the corded drill, I mean it never runs out of power and that's kinda awesome. We just feel you need both. It's done us well.

So, how can you get your hands on one of our most favorite things? If you want to be nice, hop over to the drill questions and answers on Stack Exchange, and ask or answer a question. This is like a $400 drill, so we thought we would ask for a little extra credit for this one. It's not required, but it would be oh so awesome if you did.

Thanks to Stack Exchange for an exciting week of giveaways! Don't forget to check them all out!

This would be AWESOME to win!!! We're getting tired of having to go and borrow my dad's drill for our projects. That reminds me I need to return it back to him this weekend. :)

I'm down with both for different projects. I'm so excited for this giveaway!

I like cordless! You can reach further... and then when I'm getting help from my hubby, I don't have to keep unplugging and replugging the cord it!

However, with a cordless, I ALWAYS put the battery back on the charger! Right?!? Never. I always forget...oops!

Cordless anything is the best! I work in construction and all of the tools these buys use have cords draped all over the place, and even though they are as safe as possible with the cord placement, accidents still can happen!

But for home use, cordless all the way!

Cordless for us! Easier to use outside!

I agree, each has their place. But since we only have a corded drill right now, I'd LOVE to win the cordless one!

I've only ever used a cordless drill! : )

I like both. I grew up on a farm and totally understand the beauty of cordless going anywhere and everywhere. But living in a city apartment, I need the ability to plug something in and have it work instantly instead of waiting for a battery to charge.

Cordless is way handier, until you run out of battery...

You loves corded drills ... Not us!

Cordless all the way! This is so needed, thanks for the giveaway!

I like both... Corded is great for the extra power when drilling into metal or concrete. Cordless for pretty much everything else.

I am dying for a new cordless drill! I used to work in a shop where we had access to them all the time and now that I own a home and no longer have access, I realize how much I really used one! I mean, we had to install our blinds BY HAND. Do you know how painful that was? Also, I'm a DYI for life-er and it would cut down the time on everything completely. Cordless over corded for obvious reasons (weight, convenience, safety).

Thanks, and I love your blog, by the way! Great work!

i prefer the cordless for the quick jobs.. but my cordless has seen better days.. so for the more hefty jobs i gotta get the old corded guy out..

Cordless! I have to constantly borrow my Father In Laws - it would be nice to have my own.

Cordless drill for me - more functionality for outdoor projects!

September 30, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterKjerstin

i don't know which i would like better... i've never used a drill... so getting a fancy schmancy new drill would get me going in the right direction!

Cordless!! The more mobile the better!!

September 30, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterMcCaulie

I currently have a drill that charges, so it can be cordless or corded. Although I'll admit that it doesn't really hold a charge very well, so it's usually a corded drill. I have one of those older houses that you mentioned (1920), it would be *so* nice to not be confined to only using the drill close to a plug!

we are a fan of both, however, our cordless drill's battery does not last! perhaps it's because it's a hand-me-down? winning this one may make cordless our definite favorite!
